The goal of In My Own Words is to create a more understanding population and to empower youth to work together with their indigenous peers to build a better Canada.

The films are free to view online. If you would prefer to have a DVD for classroom use, please get in touch. We have created a classroom support document outlining some possible discussion points for a high school audience.

The films were produced by Visual Inclination for the Jesuits of English Canada in partnership with Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre. The project was funded by the Jesuits, who sought to produce the films as part of their journey to reconciliation and the TRC's call to action number 62.
